You know how all of us are addicted to tik-tak. Well, maybe you shouldn’t be. Ask Hailey Bieber and Kylie Jenner. who lost millions of followers due to a ridiculous feud, to start with Selena Gomez over eyebrows. This all started around February 21, when Selena posted a series of videos to TikTok, one of which is the now-viral eyebrow video where she states that she laminated her eyebrows too much. This may seem like a small matter, but it would soon be blown out of proportion by the fans of the parties involved. After Selena posted a video about her eyebrows, Kylie Jenner posted a picture of her eyebrows with the words, "This was an accident?" Of course, this would cause fans or anyone who is chronically online to jump to conclusions about a possible beef between Kylie Jenner and Selena Gomez. What didn’t help the matter was when Hailey Bieber decided to post a picture of her own eyebrows as well, which looked a lot like laminated eyebrows but done right.
And if you are wondering if this alleged mean girl behavior had consequences, it did. Because people were so outraged by this gang up on Selena Gomez, they started to unfollow both Hailey and Kylie. This was good news for Gomez because she would gain over 8 million new followers on Instagram, beating out Kylie Jenner for the title of most followed woman on Instagram. If there’s any lesson for us young people growing up on social media, it is to not bully someone who can end up humiliating us in front of the entire world like what happened to Kylie and Hailey.
