Hey Huskies,
I’m Angela Jang, your Executive Council ASB President and a current senior! I joined ASB as soon as I came in-person after Zoom in my sophomore year as Cultural Awareness Commissioner. Junior year, I ran for Junior Class President, and luckily enough…I won! I was in charge of planning prom and fundraiser sales. That year, ASB had its first Varsity Jacket Sale! I designed and worked with the manufacturer to find the right font and right fabric and finally decided on the design. Then I ran for Executive Council President and won (uncontested). I’m also involved in many different things throughout campus, such as being a Varsity Cheer Co-Captain, Varsity Golf, Student Mentors, and in ASEP! ASB has definitely helped me feel confident to put myself out there and do things I would have never done. Through my three years in ASB, I’ve learned many things. The most important one is that nothing is stopping you except your fear. Your fear of public speaking, or maybe your fear of rejection or failure, is stopping you from even trying and taking advantage of the opportunities around you. I encourage everyone to join any club and explore anything that interests them! It really helps you grow as a person and learn many valuable skills.
